What should I wear for my family portrait session?

Since we do a majority of our sessions on the beach, these aren’t your average family photos. Light colors are best. White shirts and khakis or jeans as well as white dresses always look great, but why not make your family stand out and add a pop of color? Add some blue, green or orange accents to spice up the look of your family. What is your favorite color? Use it to add uniqueness to your family for your session. Keeping patterns to a minimum is best as they are distracting and will focus the view on one person rather than the entire family. Another thing to steer clear of are big bulky items such as wide belts, big necklaces, or large patterns. These are also very distracting to the eyes and will draw your attention away from the rest of your family. Of course, this is just a guideline. You can wear whatever you want! Bring your own style to the beach. Some people prefer more formal photos and some prefer a more casual look. We can work with anything and always make you and your family look awesome!
